WEST LOTHIAN MOUNTAINEERING CLUB

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.”

— John Muir

If your passion is the outdoors hopefully you will have at one stage walked, rambled, climbed a hill, trekked a path, bagged a munro or even scrambled up the odd ridge or arête. Chances are you  enjoyed it and have vowed to do it again. Well if you live in West Lothian or anywhere in the Scottish central belt, why don’t you come and join us in our regular adventures.

The club was established in the winter of 2008 as Westerinch MC and affiliated to the Mountaineering Council of Scotland in 2009. In the Spring of 2014 the club changed its name to better reflect its geographical location and membership base.  We have members of  different ages and experience, all with a common love of the outdoors and a desire to enjoy our great scenery with good company and friendly banter. We meet every month throughout the year, for day walks or weekends across all parts of Scotland, and sometimes beyond.  We offer something for everyone, regardless of experience.
